Bay Tours is a long established coach bus, and luxury vehicle hire service based in Hawke’s Bay. We are a local family owned business with extensive knowledge of the region, and although we have a diverse fleet of vehicles for hire in the region, we are a small and nimble organisation, and both our fleet of vehicles, our dedicated team, have been carefully and thoughtfully brought together to enable us to respond swiftly to the needs of our clients. This gives us the flexibility to provide travel plans and requirements for any group.

Ken & Kerren Withington
OWNERS
On reflection, with backgrounds in social services and vehicle workshop management respectively, perhaps it was inevitable that Kerren and Ken would end up owning a company like Bay Tours & Charters.
Self-employed for more than 25 years, their passion for customer service and hospitality is infectious and thirst for new destinations and experiences to share seemingly boundless.
Bay Tours operates very much in this spirit and the way we deliver for our customers reflects their shared values. They joke that having raised 4 boys, they’re prepared for anything.

From our dedicated drivers to the charter and support people in our office in Napier, the common thread is a desire to deliver a superior and memorable experience for our visitors and clients, and highlight the many wonderful aspects of life here in Hawke’s Bay.

Environment & sustainability
In providing a charter coach service, allows a more sustainable mode of transport which correspondingly contributes towards reducing carbon footprint per person. Reducing pollution and general waste is a leading objective for Bay Tours & Charters in which policies and procedures have been adopted committing the company to protecting the environment while operating its services. </br></br>These polices are embraced across the organisation and are reviewed regularly with the aim to adopt continuous improvements together with sustainable outcomes.
We recently chartered 2 buses for our staff Christmas function that was being held approx. 35 minutes out of town. Glen, who arranged all the boxing details for us was very easy to work with and responded to queries quickly, tolerated our changes with a smile and was overall very helpful. Our two drivers Brian and Robbie were very accommodating and great value on the night. Thanks for all your help, we will no doubt use you again in the future.

From start to finish this trip was totally excellent. The driver who picked us up shared his knowledge of the area, and noted points of interest for us. First course at St Georges winery – light, balanced entree with matching wines – superb. Then on to the views from the stunning Te Mata Peak. Allowed us to get a better idea of the whole region.

This was a highlight of our trip. Rowan was a knowledgeable and enjoyable tour guide. We loved that he gave us so much history (and trivia) about NZ as he drove us around. He even took us to the top of Te Mata right at sunset to show us views of the city and take some pictures. We are still talking about the food we ate and the wine we drank!
