Reservations & Payments
Confirmation and acceptance of a booking is contingent upon the payment of a 25% deposit of the total value of the charter. Bay Tours requires full payment seven days prior to the date of the charter.
Changes to Itinerary
The Charter price is calculated on the information provided by you, if you wish to make changes to the agreed itinerary which adds distance and/or changes the driver’s time on the job there may be additional charges.
Cleaning Fee
Should the coach become soiled due to passenger’s inappropriate behaviour (Vomiting, consuming drink or food on the coach) there will be a $500 cleaning fee charged.
Alcohol on coach
We are not licensed to allow alcohol to be consumed on our coaches at any time.
Payment terms
This quote is for payment by EFTPOS or internet banking only. We do accept Master Card and Visa credit cards. If you wish to pay by credit card an additional 2% of the total amount is payable for NZ based customers and 4% for overseas customers . A deposit of 25% of the accepted quote is payable immediately in order to secure the booking.
The balance of the accepted quote must be paid prior to the commencement of the charter. Funds can be Direct Credited to Bay Tours & Charters Ltd, Kiwibank 38 9014 0316437 00
Cancellation
If, for whatever reason, Bay Tours & Charters are forced to cancel the charter a full refund will be issued. If, for whatever reason, a charter is cancelled by the client the following cancellation fee structure will apply;
7 Days or more prior to the start of the charter: No cancellation fee. Full refund of charter price paid – less any non-recoverable payments to third party suppliers.
Less than 7 days & up to 24 hours prior to the start of the charter: 50% of the charter price paid OR $250, whichever is the lesser amount – plus any non-recoverable payments to third party suppliers.
Less than 24 hours prior to the start of the charter: 100% loss of charter price paid.
Management reserves the right to apply discretion in the application of these fees.
Liability
Bay Tours & Charters Ltd are not liable for and deny all responsibility for personal injury or property damage arising out of this charter event. The traveller has no right to claim against Bay Tours & Charters Ltd for any loss, damage, delay or injury caused to the traveller or their baggage whilst under the care or control of an arrangement provider. A traveller’s baggage and personal effects shall be carried at owner’s risk as provided for under the Carriage of Goods Act.
Bay Tours & Charters Ltd is not responsible for any losses or additional expenses due to delays or alterations in air, land or sea travel due to inclement weather, acts of God, strikes, breakdowns, civil unrest, quarantine, or other circumstances beyond its control.
Acknowledgement and Acceptance
In booking a charter with Bay Tours & Charters the participant(s) acknowledge that they have read, understood and accept these conditions.
